I love the A-line. These days every pattern I see for little ones are with an empire waist - I know the gathers and pleats on an empire are pretty and it's a great way to make room for those cute little tummies, but in the end, an A-line will fit for so much longer, it might even be worn as a top once it no longer works as a dress. This navy blue dress I made for Chloe last year still fits, and I imagine it will for at least another year! I was trying to get a decent shot of her in it, alas she was on the move so I went through some older photos and found this one of her in October with Grandma sitting in the background, so I had to post it - so glad those two had the chance to get to know one another :)
Also wanted to show the blue Pooh Bear fabric I'm using for Chloe's little vintage dress which is just about finished - new pics to go up as soon as I can xx

Baby Vogue

...so who says I can't look for a job, study for my UK driving licence, and make baby clothes at the same time?

I adore this vintage baby pattern from Vogue. I found it in a plastic bin stuffed with sheet music, old magazines, and random patterns at a thrift shop in Brighton. It is so unique. The sharp little collar, the raglan sleeves, and the little buttons down the front. Chloe's going to bring out the ultra-cuteness in it; she does that you know. More photos to come...

2011 Pub Crawl

New Year's Eve: a nice Thai dinner, to the pub for a pint - it was a great time out with the little one!
